First thing first, the fourth formers and the lower six girls had the "DeepaRaya" party in their respective classrooms on the same day which LTC started (31st Oct). And I, for one, was pretty much busy in some preparations for the camp later at 12.00pm. And I'm sorry for not being part of the party and such. None will care anyway. They did had a blast in the class.

With cream and ice all over... makes me wonder how's the condition of the class now..

Anyway, I was all ready for the camp before 12.00pm. Had to find the person in charge of the camp and also our very own councellor, Pn.Tan. =___= I had to walk around and about the school and who would've thought she had a meeting in the meeting room? Bah. So anyway, all the prefects were gathered by the time Major Chua came and gave us a briefing. Separated into groups according to our "tentmates." Then into groups.

*clears throat*

Tunggu. Perkataan "Mendidih-didih" ada dalam kamus kah? =P

TIDAK APA. SAYA SAJA NAK MEREPEK BOLEH KAN?!!!

=PPPPPP

Anywayyyyyyyy, Yeah. Group 1 and Tent 1 I was in. Here's a photo with my tentmates after setting up our very own tent. =D

Diana, Insyirah, Elaine, Vivian!

The process to set up a tent was pretty easy, I guess. Took us about 10mins I guess. And lucky for us Tent no.1, we had the best view of all!! Right in front of our tent's entrance, there stood the KL Tower! =D

Herng, Clarissa, JoAnn.

After setting up our tents, had a talk on how to survive in the jungle, which I'm 100% sure that I won't use any of those tricks Major Azmi taught in years to come. =______=

Unless, of course, I join a camping group or something.

But its interesting to note that we can actually get a cup of water filled by chopping of a part of the root of a certain tree. Or perhaps you can drink your own urine after filtering it (evaporization and condensation process). Or knowing there is a certain way (skin, lips, tongue, throat, swallow, SAFE!) to test part of the plants whether they are edible or not.

......... If you don't understand what was the previous paragraph was all about, please, do ignore me.

After the talk on "ikhtiar hidup" (survival skills), we then moved up to the College field where the Major showed us how to cook "lemang" and boil rice in a.... a.... pot? I dunno what do you call that thingy.

Each and every one of us were then given a chance to taste the "lemang". lol.

Ok laaaaaa... Taste like normal rice nia. With a bit of the banana leaf taste.

Tea time~

After tea time, went up the Bukit Nanas hill. It had been 2 years since I went into the hill. The last time I went in was during the Science and Maths club end-year party 2007. =P Anyhow, Major showed us some usage of certain plants and such while on our way up to the hill.

Then, we went out of the hill and had our shower. =D LOL. Yes people. The prefects actually had their shower in the SCHOOL. =D We were given choice to go to either Pink Dorm toilets or the one beside 4U classroom toilets to take our shower.

Since most of them went up to the Pink Dorm, I chose to take my shower in the ground floor toilet. =DDDD And I tell you, after the jungle trekking with your shirt was drenched with your own sweat (yes, I did sweat. A little more than usual.), it felt good and refreshing to be able to wash yourself clean. Which explains why I took quite a long time in the cubicle I was in. =PPPP Some more I used the LARGEST cubicle in the toilet.

Yes, after all that rushing Bharathi and Dharini to be quick to finish their shower (they were in the queue infront of me, lining up to use the spacious cubicle), I myself was the one who took the longest time to finish my shower =PPPP.

Turga was behind me. Therefore, == I'm sorry, Turga!!

=/ Well, she didn't rush me as much as I rushed Bharathi and Dharini... so... =PPP

Dinner~

After dinner, we had a talk on leadership skills and such. =/ Well, what do you expect from a "Leadership Training Camp"?

Talk was given by Major Chua from 8 till 10.30pm. Had a few group activities and it was pretty motivating at first.. until I realized something.

Things can't be THAT easy, so simple... right?
If only EVERYONE think the same way, having the same objective,
There wouldn't be so much complications.

No?

*sigh* Anyway, I guess it's just me. I hope it is.

At 10.30pm sharp, we were dismissed and EXPECTED TO SLEEP IN OUR OWN TENTS. *gasp!* AT 10.30PM!!!! =______= Where got camp so early dismiss their participants?!!!!

Bah. What to do. Why do I get a feeling that the teachers requested for an early dismissal?

=_____= Never mind.

Itu YannLin tiba-tiba ceroboh khemah saya. Kami berborak-borak, menghayati permandangan di depan mata kami... Menara KL cantik!!!

Insyirah, the form1 prefect slept very early while the few seniors and me had a chat in the tent on random stuffs. From fart, KL Tower, to Yann Lin's AFS Japan trip =D

Like I said, my tent had the best view of the KL Tower of all (I guess). =D The view was mesmerizing especially when the lights of KL Tower started blinking, switching colour and even with the laser lights flashing around and about. =D

(fine. I know I sounded like a "jakun" here. And I also know I have been living in the KL city for 18 years. But hey! Guess what?! This was my first time sleeping sooooo near to the KL Tower k. =P)

Made me feel like kicking the upper part of the KL Tower away with my leg. =PPP Lol.

And obviously, I failed. So sad, eh?

Itu ialah kaki Vivian. =P

The next morning, I woke up around 6.00am. Slept pretty well. Didn't sweat much. And lol. Diana complained to me that I had used my leg "terkena" her when I tossed around in the tent. =O!!! LOL. But it was only once or twice la. Not much damage was done.. but still...

Sorry!!! =__________= Though Elaine said she didn't "kena" my flying leg. =P

Had our morning exercise. Warmed up and off we go! Jogged down and back up the road of Bukit Nanas! =DDD Been awhile since I last exercised... Phew. At least I managed to maintain my pace during the jog... After the excercise, we had breakfast!

Assembled under the Frangipani tree before we went up to the hill for some activities.

Vivian and TeddyMak.

While waiting for the major and facis to prepare the activities in the jungle, Yvonne kept us entertained by doing the "kuchi kuchi" dance. Pretty crappy I would say, but that's what made it so fun doing together with the whole group of prefects! LOL. Wth.

Activities in the jungle started after that. We had to do some jungle trekking by ourselves. No guide and we have to follow the animal trails. There were butterfly, eagle, bat and elephant. Team UNO (Team no.1) started off with the Butterfly.

Spider Web [Butterfly Trail]

There. Even by reading the title, you should know what is it lo. We had to go through holes of the "web" made out of strings. Strictly no touching the strings at all. Teamwork was required. I was the second one to pass the web, after Nasiha. We used the "legs-first" way.. Which I guess eventually my team realize it can't work on everyone else and not useful enough to prevent all the touching of the "web" =__=. Then, came the "Crawl-your-way-out" way. lol. This is where they will hv to use their hands as support (and at the same time, try to crawl out through the web), legs straighten up at the back, team members at the back had to help out to support the legs. ;) We took 9 mins, if I'm not mistaken.

I know after the Butterfly stop we were supposed to proceed to the Eagle stop. And we did. The group before us took quite awhile to accomplish the task, thus Mr.Chua asked us to turn back and proceed to his stop, using the Bat trail.

Oh well.

Btw, before Mr.Chua shoo-ed us off to his stop, we manage to make our very own cheer =D

You and Oh, You and Oh,
U-NO, U-NO,
*pause 1sec*
GO GO!!

LOL. =DDDDD

Revealing Box [Bat Trail]

Search for an envelope. Its written 'RED' on the envelope. The clue Mr.Chua gave was soemthing about the "RED Box" nearby a smaller BATAI tree. =/ Split into a group of two. Tent 1&2 and Tent 3&4. Nasiha found the "RED Box" within 6 minutes. It was in the garbage bin near the Batai tree btw.... =P Took a few more minutes to complete the survey. Total about 9minutes I guess. Do correct me if I'm wrong here.

The Booby Trap [Elephant Trail]

Step on numbers. The trainers will say "BOOM" if we step on the bomb. So, we had to discuss which number to step on. I was the first one to step on any number. And DAMN EMBARASSING ok! The FIRST NUMBER (#38) I chose to step on was a BOMB. Like WTH. =________= Btw, each player has only Two lives - meaning you have two chances la. Pavi was the first who manage to went till the end =DDDD Only three got bombed once. After which, everyone manage to go to the other end safely. =) PayHerng was the main person cause she was the one who jotted down the numbers to step on and informed us which to step and such. Took about... 12mins?

After the booby trap, we used the Eagle trail for the last activity. I tell you!!! When Team UNO reached the Eagle stop, there was already a team doing the activity and another group waiting for their turn. =___= Waited for almost more than an hour!!!

So, ... what do you think we did?

Camwhore, of course! =D

Team UNO!

Group 3, the group waiting for their turn before us.

LOOK! I even manage to capture a photo of an ant!

The four heads ;)

Also there were a few DAMN RANDOM SHOTS. XD I guess it was nearly noon when we took the following photos. Not bad huh?

Too bad the pic is blur. I like KitLeng's mouth. Haha!

Jump Ezza! Jump Imani!

Flying Kick!!!! - from Team UNO ;)

Kit as the Angel, Nasiha as the Human, & Herng, the Devil.

Bridging Obstacles [Eagle Trail]

AT LONG LAST, IT WAS OUR TURN TO DO THE EAGLE THING. This was the toughest among all games. There were a few boxes. We had to use 2 sticks and 2 strings to cross from one side to the other end. If any of our team members fell and stepped on the ground, straight disqualified. Started off with a discussion among ourselves of what to do. Feeling lazy to describe everything we did.. There were a few funny moments though. For example, Ezza had to be the "contractor." lol. She was fixed to one spot for a very long time but important in the activity. She had to transfer the smaller plank up and down so that other can use the plank. =) Imani was the first to cross the other side. Me and Nasiha were also one of the fews who stayed within the field to help out members to cross the other side. In the end, Mazreen was the last to cross and there were only two members "died" =P Took us 31minutes!! WOOTS! =D

Was the last to reach back school. Felt kinda weird after coming out of the forest though. There was this ... feeling which I can't really describe. I guess its the after-effect a city girl would feel after staying in the jungle for more than 3 hours or so =PPP

TeddyMak, Michelle, Herng, Clarissa, Vian, KitTing.

I am proud of you guys in Team UNO =D Thanks for all the cooperation and effort k!

Oh yes, CONGRATS to Group 4 for winning the most rumba ;)

Had a photography session again with the facis and major after everyone left. Hmm..

Kit, Major Azmi, Herng

Vivian, Major Azmi, Ezza, Herng's camera. Lol.

And last but not least,

=D A pic of everyone (minus most of the prefects)

We really had a good time during the camp alright! Most of them said they would like to extend the camp too! I myself felt the 2D1N camp was too short lo.. Not enough activities. But too bad la k. =P

Bah. Long enough la my entry on the LTC 2008. Tiring giler taip semua ini.

The end, Thank you!!

P.S: There are more photos in my camera btw. Not all was uploaded to this entry of mine. Those who want the pics, do ask from me k.
